OZU Shirt
The Ozu shirt : A New project made possible by Maru Takeshi a supporter & colleague of 6876 for approaching 30 years.
Product 1 : Made in Japan Collection
5 oz selvedge chambray 100% cotton woven by vintage shuttle loom in Kojima Japan,
Single needle stitch construction and cut by hand with specialised tailored shirt maker. Signature cuff shape with selvedge placket details, back box pleat and reinforced elbow panel.
Collar bone detail with Mother pearl and pre-washed

Emerging from the culmination of the Comme des Garçons guerrilla project in 2009 the store was created by David Mullane one of the most important figures in Scottish retail dating back to The Wearhouse in the 1980’s :

This winter we are producing exclusive Made in Scotland bags, hats & Ties as well as unique T-shirts: Finally W2 will be the only store to stock the Trail Sonora
Archive fabric ties
At our facility in Scotland one of their skills is the production of hand made Ties. 6876 has never produced ties so we decided to take a unique approach and use archive cloths.
Fabrics that have been utilised are Hainsworth Military wool barathea, graphic modernist cotton interpretations of tartans and to follow this Autumn a Japanese woven interpretation of British Army denim mixed with wool.

6876 Tote bag with unique construction including outside pocket.
This style has been made in Scotland using Hainsworth Fabric from the company archive.
The quality is a British Army wool Barathea; comprising of a worsted weave which is a process differing to a highly woollen produced fabric.
Barathea is versatile, with elegant drape and exceptional handle. Due to its coarse texture, the fabric has natural recovery abilities and quickly returns back to its natural shape.

Pullover Technical jacket manufactured in Portugal utilising 100% waterproof lightweight Italian specialist fabric
Garment features adjustable back flap derived from the concept of Rowing jackets but equally useful for cycling.

Available predominately in Japan with a small selection in from the 6876 website
Forth Jacket 24
On their last visit the Bshop buyers discovered in the archive the version of the Forth jacket we had produced with Rohan in 2012.
This style has been restructured to have a shorter more contemporary feel whilst utilising a Superior quality cotton with a shower repellent finish fromHalley Stevenson. This quality has a C0 finish combined with a densely woven cotton base, comprising of 40% Supima cotton/ 60% long staple compact cotton.
The fabric despite being rain proof loses none of its character and feel.

S24 Overshirts
Bshop Japan wanted to delve deep into the 6876 archive on their last visit & as we looked through a series of Overshirts a category that was strongly represented in pervious era’s. We eventually decided on a long sleeve version which is the Nith Overshirt, referencing a version last produced in 1998 & the looser fitting Short Sleeve
Overshirt
Fabrication from Haley Stevenson which was Inspired by their 1910 patent for waterproofing textiles, this finish is a combination of the driest wax and soft aero tumbling. This emulsified wax finish is perfect for lightweight breathable and weather repellent garments. It has a soft aged appearance, keeping all the character of natural cotton & is washable.
The fabric and construction gives the garment a light but substantial feel of a summer weight Jacket.
Thompson Jacket Navy
In 2004 inspired by the books and letters of Hunter S Thompson most notably “Fear and Loathing in America: The Brutal Odyssey of an Outlaw Journalist 1968–1976″
Six Eight Seven Six developed a collection which would reference but modernise classic American workwear styles; utilising & developing these garments with new details, trims and producing them in unique & progressive hybrid technical fabrics.
One of these styles was the Thompson jacket which we have decided to produce again as part of our Scotland Project.
